The projects I have facilitated, [The Pink Dot Experiment, The Black Dot Project] enabled people to reflect on their own experiences in public space and culture. They were intended to address the relationship between aesthetics and social processes and to promote the collaborative process of interdisciplinary creativity. Participants developed the ability to communicate visually using art as a language that is socially meaningful and culturally critical.

I am committed to using my artistic practice and pedagogy to instill the insight of being a life long learner. This understanding can occur in the classroom in the education of students in a rigorous academic curriculum as well as through creative practices that serve society. These practices can create diversity of perspectives, experiences and traditions which are essential components of a quality education in our global context. I am motivated by the opportunity to create lesson plans and educational models that actively involve art to engage learning, and explore a diversity of content, pedagogies, and approaches.
